6. INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION ITEMS
a. Consider and act to approve Amending Resolution No. R-2026-05-01 appointing the authorized representatives of the public funds investment pool known as TexSTAR Short Term Assert Reserve Fund (“TexSTAR”) to Matt Marchiori and Marla Johnston as Authorized Representatives, and removing Kristina Dean, Jerry Randall, and Suzanne Scott.
b. Consider and act to approve Amending Resolution No. R-2026-05-02 appointing the authorized representatives of the public funds investment pool known as Local Government Investment Cooperative (“LOGIC”) to Matt Marchiori & Marla Johnston as Authorized Representatives, and removing Kristina Dean, Jerry Randall, and Suzanne Scott.
c. Consider and act to approve Resolution No. R-2026-05-03 authorizing the temporary closure of a portion of FM 543 between FM 455 and Weston Road for the purpose of holding annual events and festivals. (Mayor)
d. Consider and act to approve Ordinance No. O-2026-05-01 redesignating the Town of Weston back to the “City of Weston”. (Mayor)
e. Discussion on TXDOT’s FM 455 feasibility study from Shady Brook Lane to US 75 virtual public meeting and scheduling of a Town of Weston public meeting to receive comment and input from the public regarding FM 455 re-route within Town of Weston incorporated limits.
f. Consider and act to approve Ordinance No. O-2026-05-02, of the Town Council of the Town of Weston, Texas, providing for the appointment of Britton Murry as City Secretary and authorizing the Mayor to take all steps necessary to effectuate the same.
g. Consider and act on any item in Executive Session, if needed.
7. COUNCIL AND MAYOR ANNOUNCEMENTS/COMMENTS
8. EXECUTIVE SESSION
Pursuant to Texas Government Code, Annotated, Chapter 551, Subchapter D, Texas Open Meetings Act (the “Act”), Council may recess into Executive Session (closed meeting) to discuss any of the items identified in this agenda, or any of the items identified below, concerning one or more of the following:
a. Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.071 - As authorized by Chapter 551, Section 551.071, of the Texas Government Code (Consultation with Town Attorney), this meeting may be convened into closed Executive Session for the purposes of seeking confidential legal advice from the Town Attorney about pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers or any matter in which the duty of the Town Attorney under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
i. To consult with the Town Attorney regarding contemplated litigation related to former City Secretary: Suzanne Scott DiNicola.
b. Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.074 - To deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee; or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer(s) or employee(s).
i. Candidate for the position of City Secretary.
Reconvene into Regular Session and take any action necessary as a result of the Executive Session.
