Weston Fall Sweep 2020

Held in conjunction with the Keep Texas Beautiful Fall Sweep events scheduled throughout the state between September 3rd - November 15th
NOTE:  At this time, KTB is promoting cleanups with individuals, members of the same household or small groups.  Please follow all local, county, and state guidance. KTB reminds Texans to stay safe when choosing to go outside and clean up your communities.
PARTNERS
Alford Services, Inc. will donate a 30-foot trash bin
Champion Waste and Recycling Services will donate an open-top container
United Electronic Recycling will work with us on electronics recycling. There is a minimal disposal fee on electronics such as copiers, fax machines, printers, and CRT monitors
Van Buren Estates donated toward the cost of trash bags, safety vests, gloves, and waters for volunteers

DETAILS

Small groups of volunteers will pick up trash along the side of the roads and in other areas around town

Scouts can earn special patches:  https://www.ktb.org/scout-pack

Trash bins will be in a parking area on Main St

Possibility of old car batteries and aluminum cans being accepted, if a volunteer will deliver them to Community Recycling in Plano

Supplies to make wildflower “seed bombs” will be available to throw when you are picking up trash
